Trouble starting up-BIOS problem?

I have Windows XP Professional, and two days ago my mom deleted a folder in
the C drive for a printer (BIG mistake, I know!).
Now when the computer starts up it gets to the desktop, but then a blue
screen comes up and the computer restarts itself again, then goes back to the
blue screen. I used safe mode to see what might be wrong, and in Device
Manager I noticed that there's a problem with the Microsoft System Management
BIOS Driver, code 39: Windows cannot load the device driver for this
hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing.

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?
