My Outlook 2007 runs on Windows XP.

If I left click more than 1or 2 times simultaneously on the Outlook button,
it will not open and I have to restart my computer before it will.

How can I correct this?

If you click just once on it, does it open correctly?

Once it stops opening, I have to shut down the computer and restart it
before it will open on a single Click.

Hi SC Fred,
I am experiencing exactly the same problem.
When I restart the machine and then double click (single click does not
work) on the Outlook desktop icon, I get a message that asks me if I want to
start Outllook in safe mode.

I have been using Outllok 2007 for months.
This problem started about two days ago.

Any clues MVP's?

To avoid havung to restart my machine, I'm leaving Outlook 2007 running.
But - there is now frequent disk/ i/o that sounds like a drum solo with the
drum being "rolled" about once per second.

99% of the CPU is occupied by the system idle process but
the top processes include svchost.exe, services.exe, myfeedssync.exe , msDSN
responder.exe and ccSvcHst.exe

There is a (reletwed I suspect) problem where on shut down, the ccSvcHst.exe
application hangs and prevents system shut down. This ccSvcHst.exe shut-down
problem is present on both of my XP machines.

Solutions welcome!

I am having the same issues. When I go to the Task Manager, it is not in the
Applications tab, but it is in the Processes tab. It shows up there multiple
times if I have tried to open Outlook multiple times. Anyone with a fix?
