trouble getting windows 2000 to network with XP host

Hey there!
I'm attempting to setup a home network.
My host computer is running XP, the other computer
is running windows 2000 professional.
The network setup disk from the XP host will not
allow the 2000 professional to network.
Please help me resolve this issuem as I have several
hungry computer users waiting with sharp pointy things
to use the guest computer.
 
Are you trying to use Internet Conection Sharing or just share a printer or
drive?
