Trouble exporting emails in Outlook - dates missing

I'm trying to move my many stored emails in Outlook (part
of XP 2002) to another computer that also uses the same
version of XP with the same version of Outlook. So far,
I've been able to export whole folders of emails, like the
INBOX, but when I import the folders one piece of crucial
data is missing from each email: the DATE it was sent!
Instead of showing the date of each email, the imported
emails show "none" in the date field. This renders the
data usless. Does anyone know a way to correct this?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

That's one of the many reasons we recommend copying Outlook data, not
exporting it.
