Trouble copying a file from the Server

I have just replaced an old computer with a new one on a small network. When
I try to copy a file from the server to this new computer, I get a message
that says, "Cannot copy [file name], thew file can not be accessed by the
system." Any idea what is wrong?
 
Is this network a Domain or just a Workgroup ? If workgroup is the
new computer correctly joined to that workgroup (MSHome if XP).
Does the new PC have an Account/Password that is in the Server's
ACL table ? This new PC - does it have 3rd Party Security software
that might need it's "Trusted Zone/Range" modified to include your
network.
 
It's a domain. No 3rd party software. Any other ideas?
