Trouble converting Corel Presentation to PowerPoint

In PowerPoint help, it recommends using files with .wmf
or .pct extensions to convert graphics - it doesn't
work. When trying to open a file with either of these
extensions, receive message "PowerPoint can't open the
type of file represented by .wmf or pct."

Also, suggests that to save as text use rich text or
text. In Save As, PowerPoint doesn't offer saving as .rtf
or .txt - at least not that I could find.

Has anyone had any luck converting a presentation with
graphics to .ppt?

I am using Win2000 Pro and Office XP Standard.

How were the files created in the first place? And if you simply renamed some
other file to give it a WMF extension, that's not going to work (it's rather
like crossing out the label on the vinegar bottle and writing in "Honey"
instead. Doesn't make the contents any sweeter.)

File, Save As and in the Files of Type: dropdown, choose the option you want.
It may not offer this option if there's no text in the outline, though, since
that's the text it'll export.
