Was using a free version of AVG antivirus and it was
telling me i had the following virus: C:WINDOWS\system32
\msconfd.dll Trojan startpage.CE
Ive since erased that antivirus eqpt and installed
AntiTrojan(i think it was called) and a number of
others.Ive just used "Stinger" and "FProtAntivirus".None
of these are reporting the virus, they are giving it the
all clear.
Does anyone know how i can erase C:WINDOWS\system32
\msconfd.dll as im unsure that Trojan startpage.CE has
been erased. The main problem it was causing was that it
was taking many attempts to start up windows XP,and was
then getting a message saying "The system has recovered
from a serious error".
Just trying to get things running smoothly,im new to pcs
so wld appreciate some idiot proof advice!
Cheers.Email me as above plz!!Thanks!!!
