I have this virus on my computer. My anti viral software can not remove it as it is stored in C/windows/system 32/com.dll.

I have tried turning on and off stop/start system restore and rebooting but that did not work.

Any suggestions????

Thanks

Boot to safe mode and manually remove the virus file from the location that
you have noted. Good luck Jym

I had that virus and many others that could not be fixed by Norton's best thing to do is backup's and reinstall , delete partition create new one format reinstall..but now I have a problem with degrag gets to 55 % stops and say's some files can not be moved look at log file for which one's and there are none...and my hard drive is fine ran diags passed on all ..let me know if you run into same problem after your reinstall...thanks

You do not want to delete the "folder" , just the file. The language that
you have provided (stored in) leads me to believe that there in more files
in the location that you have stated. The virus file you do not need. Jym
