Treeview node selection

If the text value of the node in a treeview control is known, how can the
index of that node be determined?

Any insite will be appreciate.

Hi,
you can go through all nodes and search for text:

for each nNode in oTV.Nodes
if nNode.Text=strTextToFind then
intIndexToFind=nNode.Index
exit for
end if
next

something like this

Thanks for the reply, but I had actually already discovered that I would
need to do exactly what you described.

Interesting thing is that I found the answer in some of your postings and
documentations.

Thanks for your work in this area. I have been successful in implementing
my first treeview type control and making it deliver the desired results,
primarily because you and a few other have been so kind as to share your
knowledge with the rest of us.
