I have a Travan NS TapeStor 20GB tape drive (STT220000N) I have
installed in my P4 2.4mhz Windows XP Professional Computer. I am using
a Adaptec AHA-2940 Ultra scsi card. The scsi card was recognized and
drivers were loaded by Windows XP Professional. The tape driver was not
recognized at all. Do I need to load a driver for the tape driver? I
have been looking for a driver for the driver for over 2 hours now and
can not seem to locate a driver. If I do not need a driver - what do I
need to do to be able to use the tape driver. Any assistance that can
be provided is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

The tape drive should be recognized by the SCSI card, but will not show in
Device Manager as a seperate device.. XP backup should recognize it..

I have not been able to get XP backup to recognize it. Do I need to do
anything special? Thanks.

I have the same tape drive the only way I could get XP to recognize the unit
was to install third party software namely Backup my PC which what
originally from Vertis before they sold it to Stomp.

Good Luck
