I delete the trash can on desktop. I tried to create one on desktop but the
icon appears something after I clear up the can. Can someone advise how to
restore it correctly.

Thanks,

Scott

Right-click on the Desktop, click Personalize, and in the left pane, click
Change desktop icons. In the Desktop Icon Settings dialog, enable the
Recycle Bin checkbox. Click OK. See also:

Hi Scott:
Are you sure you deleted it, or did it just vanish? My icon goes south about
once a week. If it is just this little disappearing trick, right click
anywhere on your desktop and in the task window click refresh.
If this doesn't restore it, right click the desktop again and click
"personalize" in the task. This will open another window. In the upper left
corner of the this window you will see a "change desktop icons" link. Open
it and make sure the waste bin box is checked. If it is , uncheck it then
recheck it and click apply. This should get it back. If not, you are working
above my pay grade and it's best to follow the links the other fellows have
given you.

Many thanks for all reponsed to my email. With the given instructions, I
have worked out the solution.
