It depends. If the resource requested has an aspx extension, then the asp.net
system might get involved. If the extension is not registered (in IIS) as being
handled by asp.net, then your asp.net application will never know that someone
tried to access that.
You need to trap this in IIS and there you can have it handled by some aspx page.
