transpose function creating zeros

I have a named area where I am copying data from and some of it has data
, some is empty. It is a mixture of textual, numeric and date values..
otherwise the cells in a column are empty

BUT when I use transpose to copy this area it creates lots of zeros in
the area not being written to. How can I get it to copy properly.

=IF(TRANSPOSE(namedrange)<>0,TRANSPOSE(namedrange),"")
