OK, I am making progress. I found a second Outlook.pst file in a
different location. This second contains my "Personal Folders" but not
the management folders, including Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts etc. Also
the second file does not contain all my Contacts, which did appear
within the first Outlook.pst file. So I suppose the question becomes:
How do I combine the two Outlook.pst files?
As I said, if you had copied the correct PST file and followed the
directions, all those folders you created would be there.
Check your steps.

What I mean is this: my Inbox, Sent Items, Junk Mail and Spam folders
transferred to my new machine. However, numerous other mail folders,
containing read mail, categorized by subject matter, do not appear. I
created these folders to organize messages by topic (personal,
business etc). These are the folders I can't find on my new machine.
These folders are called "Personal Folders" in my original Outlook
2003 installation.
Explain what you mean.
If you copied the correct PST file, then your data will all be in it.

I copied my Outlook.pst folder to my new computer. However, my
"personal" folders are missing, i.e. the folders I created to store
e-mail by category. How do I also transfer these "personal" folders?
The file you need to transfer is your Personal Folders file (*.pst)
It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or
transfer:

How do I transfer all my Outlook 2003 settings (folders, saved
messages, contacts, calendar etc) from an old computer to a new
one. Both computers run WinXP.
