transferring outlook.pst to another computer

Hi, I installed Office 2000 on my wife's laptop and copied the outlook.pst file
from out home computer to the same location on the laptop, but I can not get the
laptop to open it. What hoops do I have to jump through?

What messages do yo9u see when you try? What version of Outlook is on the
home PC? If you overwrote a PST of the same name, you may have corrupted
the mail profile. If you can state the exact process you used, perhaps
someone can help you.
