What is the most easiest and efficient method to transfer my mail, contacts,
etc from an older version of Outlook Express (on a 5 year old computer) into
my current version of Outlook 2003 (on a brand new laptop).
I am aware of the Import and Export options, as well as the copying of the
..PST, but I just want to make sure first.
Thanks for any help,

Copy the .pst file...then I believe you will have to disable the "read-only"
option to use it on your laptop.

This has nothing to do with the original question, which was about
transferring messages from Outlook Express to Outlook.

You need to move the data from Outlook Express on the old computer to
Outlook Express on the new computer. Then, you can use Outlook Express on
the new computer to export the data into Outlook.
