Hello,

Can anyone inform me as to how do I take my email
messages from Outlook Express 6 using Windows 98SE and get
them into Microsoft Outlook 2003 using XP Pro? I already
have the file from Outlook 6 on CD. I just can't figure
how to get them into MO 2003.

I appreciate it,
Mike

Best way is to export from OE to Outlook on the same computer (once you've
set up an Outlook profile).

So, since you've got your OE mail store folder, copy the data to your hard
drive (like, c:\whatever\oe) and remove the read-only attributes on the
files, and then set up Outlook Express to use that folder - set up a bogus
mail account, and when you're in with the vanilla new folders, go to tools |
options | maintainance | store folder, change to c:\whatever\oe or whatever
you used, and see whether the messages show up after you close/reopen OE.

If so, once Outlook is set up with the profile settings you want, in OE go
to File | export | messages, and choose Outlook.
