I'm getting a message that I need to replace my C hard drive (14gig ) on my
Compaq Presario 5BW220. I have a secondary 80 gig drive that I can burn off a
lot of data (probably 30 gigs worth) and make room for C drive info including
my Win XP Pro OS. When reading other FAQ's they don't mention moving the
operating system. They do mention cloning program from HD manufacturer. Can I
pull this off including my present OS?

With other programs, data on the drive who knows, but should work.Simply
set 2nd drive as slave on same IDE cable, format the partition with a primary
partition,once completed,go to run,type:XCOPY C:\*.* D:\ /c/h/e/k/r
D: being the new partition, however if asigned diffrent letter then use that
letter.Also,in the DOS window,agree to all.Once the window closes,youre
thru.

Thank you Andrew. I forgot to mention that my secondary drive is in NTFS
format. Will this still work on partitioning?

Ideally you have the 80gb drive partitioned..?
Make sure you have a primary partition on the 80gb HD, if you plan to boot
to it as a master drive later.. A clone copy should activate the primary
partition once copied or you may have to activate it through disk
management..You could also just create an image file and restore it to a new
drive (formated, partitioned), from the rescue disks. Both programs below
have this option of creating recovery disks, that allow you to boot into the
app and install the image file..
True Image and Ghost have both worked fine for me..
