Transfer Scheduled Tasks to new PC?

Is there a neat way to transfer all my scheduled tasks from the old PC
to the new please? Even if some further manual effort is necessary,
this would be far better than starting from scratch and re-entering
every definition.

You can copy all files from c:\Windows\Tasks to the new machine.
You will then have to re-enter the various accounts/passwords.

OK, sorted thanks. Lots of work yet to be done, but I found that the
basic transfer can be achieved by copying across the added contents of
C:\Windows\Tasks.

Thanks Pegasus. But I've hit a big snag. The task won't accept the
password I used on the old PC. How can I proceed please? I have no
password for this named machine (which was from an OEM, MESH).

You have to use passwords known to the new PC.

Well, thanks, but that doesn't take me very far! By "known to the new
PC" I assume you mean "used by the OEM when they built the PC and
setup the initial user account"?

Also, you say 'passwords', plural. Presumably it's the LOGON password
specifically involved in this situation? If so, ho how do I discover
that? That is, without going through a similar stressful procedure to
the one I recall from a rather similar situation 6 years ago, with the
same supplier. After many attempts I eventually reached them by phone
(MESH don't respond to emails unless they contain a new order), only
to be told "We don't set any password."

In fact I'm guessing that there is indeed no logon password. Otherwise
I would have to enter it at the Logon Welcome screen, and I don't. If
so, then it's all the more puzzling why I can't use the Add New Task
wizard and enter my own pw.

The password is likely a blank(hit the enter button), so simply change
the password to something other than blank and there you go.

If you do not know the local Administrator's password for your
machines then it's high time you resolve the issue. Every machine
you look after should have two admin accounts with known
passwords. Anything else is asking for trouble.
