I currently own a desktop PC but I Recently purchased a laptop and look to
use it at home exclusively. I would like to transfer a few programs from my
desktop to my laptop (Nero and Premier Elements and a couple of others).
How can I accomplish this . I checked the FAQ on my Hewlwet Packard laptop
and it entails buying a cable. I understand the concept but need some help
on the step by step process.
Also any suggestion on which product to purchase would be helpful.

Appreicate any help.. Thanks Much

The Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will transfer email messages, IE
favorites,
and many other files and settings. However, it does not transfer programs.

You can't 'transfer' programs from one computer to another one. You have to
*install* the program on the new computer.

You can't transfer the programs. You will need to install them on the
laptop using the original installation media - usually CD's or
installer executables downloaded from the Internet. Refer to the
programs' End User License Agreements for the legality of having them
on more than one computer.
