And when you activate it, if the automatic activation doesn't work, use the
telephone activation and explain what you are doing.

How do you transfer the license if the Office package was a download from
Microsoft? I would like to put my 2003 version on the old laptop and the 2007

Ideally you would have created a backup disk.

You may need to download the 2007 trial version again if you do not have the
installation files, but the installation key you purchased should still
work. If the automatic activation does not work use the telephone activation
and explain to the operator what you have done. See also - if necessary -

Presumably you still have the installation disc for 2003? The key for that
will be on the packaging.

Thank you. I will contact the operator and explain my situation. I still have
all of the software for Office 2003 and the product key. I had the software
backed up on a disk too for 2007 but cannot find it anywhere in the house. I
think I am going to take a couple of hours and look for my disks because they
have to be around here with my Groove software. I think I have a case of
hiding from myself and not being able to remember where.
