Hi all,

Am looking for an applicaiton that will transfer data files using
crossover cable.

Any suggestions.

TIA

I don't think you need any software other than Windows Explorer and the
Network Connection Wizard.

As already mentioned there is no additional software needed to transfer
files between 2 computers.

In addition to hooking up your 2 computers with a cross cable you do however
need to create and share a folder on both computers.

Assign a static IP address to the 2 computers. Example 192.168.0.1 for the
first computer and the second computer with an IP address of 192.168.0.4

The subnet for the 2 computers should be 255.255.255.0

go to 1 of the PC click start run and type //192.168.0.4 hit enter.

Login window will pop up depending on your OS. Enter your username name
password.

You are done

Goodman

that's right...
just make sure all your machines are in the same workgroup...
and allow file sharing...
that should be all you need to do

One more thing...
You are posting from the future. Wrong clock/time zone settings can
lead to other problems also.
