Transfer fields to an excel template for emailing

Bit tricky this, not sure if i can do. Want to transfer fields from a record
in access into specific cells on an excel template by using a command of some
sort so i can email the template (office links is no good for what i want as
it would be too time consuming and i need to do things like transpose the
data. Is this possible?
