Tranfering/Copying Files through USB

I thought i remembered seeing something on the microsoft.com homepage the
other day ... it was a link to click .... that said you could move things
from one computer to another somehow. And i thought it said something about
using USB ports.

I just bought a new notebook for college and i want to move audio files and
things of that sort from my desktop at home to my notebook for college.

Anybody have any insight on how to go about this, or whether or not you have
any idea what i'm talking about with the link to click on.

What you may want to buy is one of the USB to USB cables such as this one (I
don't work for the vendor!):

This device lets you hook up two computers via their USB ports to transfer
data between them. A cheaper alternative, if both your machine have network
ports, would be a simple network crossover cable to connect the two machines
RJ45 ports. The Files & Settings Transfer Wizard can be used to help you
select what you want to transfer.
