Trackball Installation

I have installed a trackball to work in conjunction with my mouse as I have
Parkinsons. However the install new hardware is recognizing it as a printer
andd cannot find driver for it which causes problems with a couple of my
other programs. The trackball however does work. How do I get the computer to
recognize it as a pointer device and not a printer. Where can I download
software for the trackball it came w none.
 
you should be able to find software for the trackball on the manufacturers
website.
