Hi
I have been working on some databases over the past year or so and now want
to tidy them up as I am leaving. I have created many queries for testing, or
queries which didnt work and now I would like to find the queries which
actually relate to working forms and reports so I can delete all the trash
which has accumulated. Is there an easy way to do this? I have tried the
documenter, but it doesnt seem to give me the info I require. Am I doing it
wrong? Is it possible to get a report which says query1 is used in formA and
reportB?
Am I barking up the wrong tree??

FMS's Total Access Analyzer
(http://www.fmsinc.com/products/analyzer/index.html) can produce that kind
of report. Rick Fisher's Find and Replace (www.rickworld.com) also has a
cross-reference feature (disabled in the shareware version, enabled once you
register).

Both of these tools need to be used with some care. It is possible for
objects to be used in ways that can not be detected by either of these
tools. Don't be too quick to delete something just because one of these
tools can't find any reference to it.

As always, make sure you have a good backup copy - or better, several good
backup copies - before you delete anything! :-)
