Track Changing embedded ecxel worksheets in words

I can't track changes in an excel worksheet i inserted to my word 2000
document.
Can anyone help
 
Word will only track changes made in the word document itself. Embedded
objects are not counted as part of the document from a track changes point of
view.

Although you can use track changes in Excel itself, it doesn't work in
exactly the same way as Word track changes works - it puts comments in the
cell rather than colouring the text while editing.

The bad news is that the track changes options in Excel are unavailable when
an excel spreadsheet is emedded or linked as an object in Word, even when you
link to a spreadsheet that already has active track changes.
