Track changes

What's the best way to track changes made to records in an Access 2003
database? I want to track changes (updates, edits, deletions) to a subform
that points to an equipment table. Ideally I'd use the persons network logon
(active directory username) to stamp who did it, along with the date and
time.

Do a search and read the previous posts on the topic. Look for "timestamps"
or "audit trail". That should get you lots of good posts with examples.

Now all I need is the username integration. I'm not using (nor do I need to)
access security. I want to log the users windows logon name. Any ideas?

You can get the Windows user name from this API call:
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm

The kb article you found is good if you only want to log changes to fields.
