touchpad sensitivity

I have real problems with the sensitivity of my touch pad. If I even go near it cursor moves, erases, and reaks havoc on my docs. The problem is that I cannot find anywhere on the computer to control this sensitivity. I find my mouse but no touch pad control device. HELP. Am running xp PRO
 
Touchpad is consider to be a "kind" of mouse so the Mouse settings should be
where you look for the sensitivity.
