I have a document with Front Page, Index and Boby Document. Sections divide these. In each section I start numbering from 1.
What I want is to have on the last page, for example “page 12 of 12â€, but I have “page 12 of 15†because it count the pages of the other sections.
How can I correct this?
Thanks,
Tyan

Press ALT+F9 in order to display field codes. Now, "Page X
of Y" should display as follows:

Page { PAGE } of { NUMPAGES }

Within the second pair of field delimiters, type
SECTIONPAGES instead of NUMPAGES. Make sure that you don't
delete the delimiters, though. Press F9 to update the
field result. Finally, press ALT+F9 again to hide field
codes.

Hope this helps...

Delete what comes after "of" (i.e. delete the total
pages), and click Insert > Field. Click Numbering (or
All) in the categories list on the left, and select
Section pages from the Field Names list on the right.
Tools > Options > View, and select Always from the drop-
down box for Field Shading if you want to see where fields
are located in your document.
