Luke M was helping me with the following and I haven’t heard from him so I
may have sent him to the funny farm…he was very close in finding a solution
to my problem. I appreciate it so very much!

Column B, row 8 shows “S†and column C, row 8 shows “SB†and
Column B, row 9 shows “8†and column C, row 9 shows “2â€

How can I have column U, row 8 show the total of “S†and “SB†of “10

What does total of “S†and “SB†of “10†mean? Please, clarify!

Hi,

I have looked at answers from Jacob Skaria & Luke M and they seem to have
explored all combinations of what you want in column U. To get you an answer
let us know precisely what you want to appear in column U

Maybe I'm not explaining what I need very well so I'll try it this way since
I cannot attach an example of an excel sheet:

A B C D E F U

8 SB SF S SB A S
9 8.00 2.00 3.00 8.00 1.00 5.00 24.00

In column A, row 8 I have “SBâ€

In column C, row 8 I have “Sâ€

In column D, row 8 I have “SBâ€

In column F, row 8 I have “Sâ€

In column A, row 9 I have “8â€

In column C, row 9 I have “3â€

In column D, row 9 I have “8â€

In column F, row 9 I have “5â€

I would like Column U to show the total only the “S†and “SB†figures (which
would equal “24.00â€)

That worked and it is so wonderful!!! I am so ecstatic right now I can't sit
still!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
