OK, just thinking it might be interesting to get people opinions on their top 5 (or however many they can be bothered putting down) manufacturers of bits and pieces. You know, so that we can see if the same name keeps cropping up and that way we know if people rate them. Obviously no point in processors but was thinking for monitors, mother boards, hard drives and cd/dvd drives, or whatever you want i guess.

I'll start you off........

Motherboards
----------------

Asus
Chaintek
Gigabyte
Super Micro
Abit

Monitors
----------

Iiyama
Belinea
Sony
View Sonic

Hard Drives
-------------

Maxtor
Seagate
Western Digital

CD/DVD
---------

Liteon
Plextor
Creative

Ok, over to you.

I like:

Motherboards - Gigabyte; Abit; Asrock (really, they're good)

Monitors - Iiyama; NEC; Sony

Optical Drives: Pioneer; Plextor; Samsung

Keyboards, Mice, Joypads, Joysticks - Logitech.

But not solely, they're just brands I've had good experiences with.

As for hard drives - pot luck depending on the production batch as far as I'm concerned, though I do like Western Digital.

edit: forgot to add memory: Crucial, Corsair. I think Crucial, in particular, are really good, very underrated. Never mind the CAS setting, they actually overclock quite well. They also offer good customer support and a prompt delivery.
