tootip delay?

Hi;

Win2K.
When I hold mouse pointer over name of a file in Win Explorer
I usually get a small yellowish color window giving me extra info
about that file (i.e. xyz.doc).

In Win 98, there was basically no delay. The appearance of
this small window was instantaneous.

In Win2K, it takes over 3 seconds for it to appear.
Is there anywhere I can adjust this delay?

No, sorry.
I checked the registry for 'tooltip' and found nothing helpful.
