Tooltip not displaying Date/Time on network files...

Using XP/Pro (SP1)... I have a user who swears up and down that when she
hovered over a network file (Novell volume), she would get the usual file &
size info, plus the date and time (much like we get on local drives).
However, she no longer gets that.

Is there a setting somewhere that'll make the date/time appear in the
tooltip again? I've tried adding "Date" to the InfoTip, QuickTip, and
TileInfo registry strings, but that hasn't had any effect.

Suggestions? Thanks!

Hi,

On my pc if i go to My Computer/Tools/Folder Options/View and then tick Show
pop-up description for folder and desktop items it gives me what you want on
both network and local files.

Hope this helps

Thanks for responding!

I have that option set already, but it doesn't display the needed info for
network items. In asking over on the Novell Client forum, one poster
suggested that the problem started with MS04-37 update:
The culprit is MS04-37 (841356)
(20-Aug-2004) Shell.dll ver. 6.0.2800.1580 [xpsp2.040720-1705] causes
this behavior.
Previous (10-June-2004) Shell.dll ver. 6.0.2800.1556
[xpsp2_gdr.040517-1325] works fine.

At this point I'm querying about whether I can safely replace the newer
shell.dll with a version noted in the snippet above. Does you have update
MS04-37 installed?

Hi,

ToolTips do not display complete information about files that are located on a network share:
