Windows XP Tools for checking CPU and Motherboard

Im having problems with a new computer. Ive already researched the problems im having so i wont bother going into that. What i was wondering is, are there any dos based programs/tools that will check my cpu and motherboard for me as i cant get another of these to test it myself.

there are various tools to test hardware.

i user PC Check to confirm faults.

whats the probs your having, you could save yourself alot of time by sharing your prob.

I dont know exacly what you want, so this is a WILD stab in the dark!

You could download and try CPU Z, it tells you all the information about your motherboard, processor and memory, you can get it from here: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

And theres a free temprature reader, if it supports your board, it will do the job. You can get that here: http://mbm.livewiredev.com/download.html
