Hi everyone,

Is it possible in access to Link a toolbar to a form?. I am not talking
about the usual routine where you create a toolbar, then go to the form
properties and then on toolbar you select the name of your selected
toolbar. I want a toolbar that is "physically" Linked to the form. You
know like in access their menus(file, tool, edit, insert etc..) are
linked to access they can't be moved. I was wondering if it was
possible to do the same thing in an access form. Anyone any suggestions
would be welcome, that is of course if it is possible.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, as far as I can tell...you are! Don't use a tool bar, but use
a menu bar..and....
selected
toolbar. I want a toolbar that is "physically" Linked to the form. You

yes, I talk about using menus in ms-access here...and towards the end of the
article there is a NUMBER of screen shots
that are in ms-access...show the kinds of menus you want:

You most certainly can, and should hide all of the ms-access interface. The
options to complete hide and keep people out of the ms-access interface can
easily be done using the tools->start-up options. Using those options allows
you to complete hide the ms-access interface (tool bars, database window
etc). Also, using these options means you
do not have to bother setting up security.

Try downloading and running the 3rd example at my following web site that
shows a hidden ms-access interface, and NO CODE is required to do
this....but just some settings in the start-up.

Check out:

http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/msaccess/DownLoad.htm

After you try the application, you can exit, and then re-load the
application, but hold down the shift key to by-pass the start-up options. If
want, you can even disable the shift key by pass. I have a sample mdb file
that will let you "set" the shift key bypass on any application you want.
You can get this at:

http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/msaccess/msaccess.html

Note howt he menu bar changes in that sample for the form (try the menu
options...and then open another form...note note the menu bar changes for
each form...but no code is needed!!! -- you simply use the "menu bar"
setting of each form to do this...

Hi, Albert D.Kallal,
