jhill: Check your setting in Tools>Options |View tab...

make sure on the Show line, "Windows in Task Bar" is checked.

Bruce,

I have a similar problem in not being able to see multiple Excel Files
in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen. I have "Windows In Task
Bar" marked to show.

In Word, I can open two documents from the same instance of Word and see
both files represented in the Taskbar (in Word, "Windows In Task Bar" is
marked to show.

This all started when I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003. Same
problem on two computers that I have upgraded to Office 2003.

Do you have any further ideas? Thanks in advance.

Alton

I'd check that Tools|Options|View tab for Windows in taskbar once more.

If it's checked and you still only see one icon on the taskbar, maybe it's a
windows setting.

Try rightclicking on the Windows Start button
Then choose properties
The on the Taskbar Tab
Do you have "Group similar taskbar buttons" checked?

If yes, then uncheck it.
