On my toolbar at the bottom, its now bigger than it used to be.. the icons
are larger and instead of just the time, its the time on top of the day...
for example 10:31 over Thursday. how do you change this back to the way it
was?

It is called the Taskbar.

Try this...

Right-click the taskbar, and then click to clear the Lock Taskbar option.
Move your cursor over the edge of the taskbar until it becomes a
double-headed arrow.
Left click and drag down to the single height.
Right-click the taskbar, and then click Lock the Taskbar.
Now it can't be moved or resized unless the Lock Taskbar option is cleared
again.

I have the same problem with a computer that I'm working on for a lady-friend.
It isn't a simple matter of resizing the bar at the bottom. The TIME looks
like this:

9:44
Thursday
12/2/2004
(stacked one above the other)

I also have a row of items from the desktop to the left of that, kind of
like shortcuts.
I have NO clue how to get this back to normal. I am going to ask about this
time/date stacking in another thread.

Never mind, it's already been posted. This one has me stymied!
HELP!!!!

Those shortcuts are Quick Launch.

To not show Quick Launch...

Right click the Taskbar | Properties | Taskbar tab |
Make sure this is UNChecked: Show Quick Launch
Apply | OK

[[Displays the Quick Launch bar on the taskbar. The Quick Launch bar is a
customizable toolbar that lets you display the Windows desktop or start a
program with a single click. You can add buttons to start your favorite
programs.]]

Right click on the taskbar, toolbars, uncheck all but Quick Launch, and then
you can properly size the taskbar.
