Toolbar Icons missing

I have 2 win2k boxes..bothhave the same problem. The icons
dont seem to be showing (eg back, forward, search, etc)
only when im viewing folders. IE icons show fine. Ive
tryed resetting the taskbar in the customise taskbar
window, but they dont show there either.

I think this may have something to do with SPYWARE that
may have been half removed from the systems. but i havent
been able to find any trace of it.


any help would be greatly appreciated

Right click on the menu bar, like on _F_ile, for example, and choose to show
the standard buttons.

Thanks for the responce Ray, but that is not the problem,
the icon place holders are there (showing text labels) but
the icons themselves are missing :/

Id post a screen shot if i could!
