Tool to Measure download amount

Hi:

I live in the US now and will be moving to India soon. Many of the
plans in India have a restriction on the amount you download, and
beyond that you are charged an amount per MB downloaded. I'm not use to
this and have no idea how much comes downstream to my computer each
month. To determine what kind of plan I should get, I want to measure
how much I download in a month-is there a tool that can sit in my
system tray and count this for me?

Go here http://readerror.gmxhome.de/ and get NetMeter.

Even though the fellow never followed it through to completion (version
1.0), the program operates just fine in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It is
free and has no surprises when you install it on your computer.

With it you can see your daily download amount, weekly amount monthly amount
as well as a cumulative total from when you installed the program. The
cumulative amount can be cleared to start over. I clear it every Jan 1st,
and track a years worth of usage.

It also shown your present download speed.
