Tool like AutoGK but for AVIs?

I've installed several different version of AutoGK from 1.25 to the
latest 2.26 as I thought that there was a way to work with AVI files.
But no go. AutoGK doesn't recognize the format with any of the
versions (coulda sworn it did with at least one of them).

So, anyway, was hoping someone knew of an app like this one that
automates the process for us? I'd like to reduce the size of an AVI I
have as I don't have a DVD burner and need to bring it down. I'm not
a newbie when it comes to this type of thing except that with AVIs,
when doing this manually, have never had a successful reduction to the
target size, not once. All the XviD calculators out there never hit
the target size. AutoGK does so and very easily with DVD rips, so it
would be nice to have something that does the same with AVIs where we
just type in a target size and the quality of the audio file and off
it goes. AutoGK is better than something like the shareware DVD
Doctor, or whatever it's called, because although it took hours and
hours on my machine, it lists what it's doing (the shareware version
didn't so you be waiting for 12-14 hours not knowing what's going on).
Hopefully there's a nother tool out there for converting, etc., AVIs
that lists the processes, too.

Thanks for any help in advance. :oD

Just tested with some avi's, both DivX and XviD and it works fine (v.
2.26, XP Pro SP2). Why don't you ask at the AutoGK forum?
