My question is regarding the toolbar just below
the "File", "Edit", etc buttons there is a line of
buttons including the following: "back,forward, home,
refresh, etc". When you right mouse click anywhere in
this toolbar, you get a drop down menu showing you items
you can check off or un check. When I mouse click to get
this menu, all my items are faded so i can not click
anything. If you know how you can help me out, it would
be greatly appreciated.

This problem is most likely caused by iSearch toolbar. iSearch seem to make
entries to HOSTS file as well. Rename the file named "HOSTS" (without a file
extension). This tip is from MVP Mike Burgess. The HOSTS file will be
present in the following location:

Windows XP=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K=C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME=C:\WINDOWS

Just rename the HOSTS file to OLDHOSTS and try the remaining part of the
advice.
