Something happened to mouse on my Windows 2000.

For instance, with Outlook Express:
1) I do _single_ left-click on message in Inbox. I don't want the message to be opened. But the message is opened.
2) I want to delete a message from Inbox. I do left-click on "Delete" on Menu Bar. Two messages are deleted: the message I wanted to
delete and the next message.

I have "double-click to open an item (single-click to select)" - see images at

[snip]

Check the mouse sensitivity/speed, don't just look at the panel.

How should I do that?
Should I change something?

You see the slider and the area to the right marked "test area"?

Geez, man...try messing with it. Double click at different rates on the
test box to see how slow/fast it responds. Adjust same with slider bar.
