Too large letters everywhere

I have a huge problem. In almost every program (Internetexplorer etc.) are the letters too large....If I am in the internet, the texts are so large that I almost can't work on that. The strange thing: not in every program it is like that. Does anybody know someting about solviing this problem? Thanks!

Open an Internet Explorer window. Click View> Text Size. Make the selection
that you prefer. The default setting is medium.
