Hi:
In Outlook, say that you click on the "To:" button to
create a new email message. If you start typing
a name in th entry box, a name will appear if a match
occurs relative to a file holding your contacts.
What is the name of the file that holds the names
of the contacts that are not listd in the Address Book ?
Where is this file located and, what filetype is it ?
(e.g., .txt. , .pst , .mbx, ...)

Thank you

Dale

Hi:
I think we are on differnt tracks.
Let me restate the problem.
Say that I am in Outlook 2002 (10.6515.6714 SP3).
I click on the New button to create a new email message.
Microsoft Word opens up.
To the right of the To: button is a name entry box.
I start to type a name.
Word recognizes it, and completes the name for me
OR presents a dropdown list from which I can choose
another name.

What is the name of the file that has the entries presented
in the drop-down list, and where is it located on the system ?

Thank you

Dale

Looks I understood your question perfectly the first time. Please see my
previous post. Since it's Outlook 2002, the file extension is .nk2.

Dale,

She understood you just fine. Most people confuse "pressing the TO:" button
with starting to enter text into the TO: box next to the To: button.

FYI, the NK2 file is separate from your contact folders. It is also a
hidden file. If you're interested, we have a utility that will let you open
this file to view, export or print out its contents. You can find it at
www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. It's called Owtlook.

Good luck,

Randy
