Hi,
I have a small problem with outlook 2003. when a user types the name in
the To: box it shows all the ones that mach what he has entered so far. I
guess it look for a match with the email address that have been entered in
the past. The thing is that some are wrong, have changed, etc, but the user
still sees them. Is there a way to delete some of the entries? or flush them
all?

Thanks...

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. If your autocomplete list contains only a single entry, use the
directions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;289975

To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q287623

George,

Doing the following should take care of the problem:

To delete stored e-mail addresses from the drop-down box -
Use the arrow keys to select the e-mail address you want to delete, and then
press DELETE.

Thanks,
Bella

George,

You may also be interested in a utility called Owtlook. It will let you
open and edit the autocomplete file. Do a Google search for Owtlook and
you'll find it.

We're also going to create Owtlook so that it will automatically populate an
autocomplete contact folder.
