First of all, if you have nothing better to do with your
time than to go around calling people, you don't know,
names then i suggest you get a new hobbie! Second, IF
what you said is true(spam coming from my email address)
then that means the problems i'm having with my computer
are alot worse than i thought. If anyone out there can
help me with this and the problems listed in my original
post("Help Me Please")please reply HERE....any HELP (not
name calling!!) will be greatly appreciated...Thank You

It's entirely possible that your computer is sending out spam without your
knowledge. And the truth is, unfortunately, you have yourself to blame.

Without regular visits to Windows Update, your computer contains weaknesses
that spammers have learned to exploit. Without a firewall, you'll never know
when your computer is sending out spam. And without adequate virus and
spyware protection, you'll never be able to stop it.

It's also highly probable that it is someone ELSE'S computer that is
infected and has the OP's address on it somewhere in some form or other -
most current viruses spoof the sender's email address anyway.

Gordon is correct, of course, although I'm not so sure that it's "highly
probably" that the OP's address is being used for spoofing. I don't know if
spoofing is any more likely a problem than is a zombie computer.

If the OP's computer is a zombie, she has herself to blame. If someone else
is misusing her address she may still be at fault but it's also possible
that her address was obtained through another user, who didn't hide her
address when sending e-mail to many people at once.

The majority of "spoofing" is caused by the virus searching out email
addresses on the infected computer (and they may be in an address book, or
in a message, either email or news, or even in a document) and using that.
I've even had a spoofed "return" email to an address within my own domain
name that has never ever been used anywhere, not even on my machine, so the
virus got hold of the domain name and added a spurious first part to it!

Actually, it much more likely - think about it. The OP has one email
address but that one email address could be in scores of address books.
More than one of those address books could be compromised & the more
people the OP knows then the more likely that the email did not come
from the OP.

Charlie.
