we have been sending emails with some pdg attachments -
one of our recipients has sent a message back saying they
are unable to open the messge - we are using outlook
2003, our recipient seems to be using netscape, he says:
messages are being encoded in a Windows format called
TNEF. OnlyWindows users who are using Outlook for their
e-mail can read these attachments. People using Mac's,
Unix, Linux, and even those using Windows but not Outlook
can not read the attachments.
how can we turn off this setting or change options so he
can open our attachments?
thanks!!!!

Don't use Rich Text format to send the messages -- use HTML or Plain Text
instead.

we have tried using rich or plain text format instead of
html with no success. Could anything else be contributing
to this problem? i could find nothing else in the support
notes.
Thanks

Does your recipient appear in the Contacts list of the sender? If so, open
the recipient's contact record and double-click the e-mail address. In the
dialog box that pops up there will be a dropdown box for the default sending
format. Is it set to always send to that user in Rich Text format?

Another possibility: If you're using Word as your e-mail editor, try
turning it off and using the Outlook editor instead.
