We are using roaming profiles on our network and seem to be accumulating
files of the following naming pattern.
TMP_09-02-10 10-11-2006_376

The file is off no type (extension) and is always 0 bytes.
They seemed to be appearing all over the profile directory structure with no
noticable pattern. The naming of the file also corresponds to the date and
time.
The above example being 09:02 on the 11/10/2006. I suspect the 376 may be a
process ID.
I can find no reference anywhere for these? But we have accumulated 230K of
these files for around 400 users so its a major problem.

Any help most appreciated.

Since Roaming Profiles is a function provided by a Server Operating System
rather than by a Workstation Operating System, you are more likely to obtain
a serviceable response if you post your query to a newsgroup dedicated to
Server-related issues than you are by posting to a Workstation newsgroup.
