Tiniest remote-controlled robot created

The worlds tiniest robot has been created by scientists in Dartmouth Univerity (New Hampshire) in America. It is shorter in length than a full stop, more narrow than a human hair and moves at around 200 micrometres per second. It can be controlled much like a remote controlled car, and works due to the grid of electrodes over which it moves. It can be used for pushing grains of dust, and even other robots.

Not at all, these things are small enough to perform loads of medical uses, engineering things and even on-board repairs for components :) Very useful!
 
It would be nice if eventually advanced enough to perform medical tasks. But at this point it is still bound to that special plate right. So it can only go where you can place the plate.
